Guidance on Grade system for 2017-1819/10/2017
Rowing ACT Expected Grade time ranges19/10/2017

Competitors should note that a new local ACT Regatta Order of Events format will apply for the 2017-18 regatta season.

The previous event order has been modified, however, the most significant changes under the new format are the introduction for 6 Quad sculls events of heats and finals.  Specifically the new format will apply to: MC4X+/-; WC4X+/-; MD4X+/-; WD4X+/-; ME4X+/-; and the WE4X+/-.

In these events all crews will race twice, either in an A or minor final depending on heat results. This innovation has been introduced to promote and facilitate more intensive local competition in these specific events, events which should enable the greatest overall number of competitors and where it is likely all clubs and schools can compete. (Note: If there are fewer than 8 entries, a mandatory preliminary race for Lanes will be conducted at the heat time.)

All other events on the program will continue to be conducted in Divisions.

The Regatta Reverse Traffic Flow procedure dated 16/11/2011 will be in place throughout the regatta. The presence of the Reverse Flow Gate indicates reverse flow is in place.

PARKING

Within Weston Park adequate spectator parking is available in the car park at the end of Pescott Lane, Yarralumla.

Weston Park trailer parking is available in the car park at the end of Pescott Lane. Please ensure you park trailers as close to the boat park as possible. Trailers may enter the boat park and tent setup area however clubs are asked to limit their foot print to ensure there is adequate space available for other clubs.

As a condition of our venue permits no boats are to be launched from boat trailers at the Lady Denman Drive site. Also, parking on the verges of Lady Denman Drive is illegal and poses a safety risk to members of the public within the area. This should not be undertaken at any time.

CATERING

A Café is located adjacent to the car park off Pescott Lane which will open at 8am and serve everything you would expect from a typical café.

WESTON PARK SETUP

Please ensure you do not setup or drive vehicles or in the Additional Spectator Area as there are irrigation pipelines below the surface. This area is north of the dirt path leading from the end of Pescott Land to the water’s edge. Clubs setting up tents in this area are asked to ensure they do not use pegs longer than 200mm.
